Indoor and outdoor scouting facilities require the best water heater

If you are in any kind of indoor space, you probably already know the importance of the proper water heating treatment. Now, a lot of people think that if you are in a part of the country where the weather is fairly mellow, you really don’t need a water heater. That may have been a good idea as recently as 30 years ago, but not anymore.

Climate change is real. Summers are hotter and winters are harsher. Oftentimes, we have really cold summers and really hot winters. It’s crazy. That’s just the way life is with climate change.

And if you are going to be holding a scouting event for Boy Scouts or other scouting-related organization, you need to take a long, hard look at your indoor facilities. Things may not be in order. It may look good on the surface, but there might be serious structural issues. In particular, take a look at the water heating system.

Now, you may be thinking to yourself, even if it does get cold outside, this is really not that big of a deal because you have a radiator. It may get nice and comfy as far as the temperature goes in the indoor space of your facilities.

Well, you shouldn’t stop there. While people may be comfortable because it’s properly heated indoors, what happens to them when they have to wash their hands or sprinkle water on their faces or otherwise get ready in the bathroom? What happens then?

This is why it’s really important to make sure that you have a clear, holistic view of the creature comforts in any kind of interior area of the facilities you’re going to be using for scouting and non-scouting related activities. This piece of advice actually applies across the board. You don’t necessarily have to be a scouting organization to benefit from this.

Unfortunately, a lot of people think that finding the best water heater is a pretty straightforward situation. They understand that they need some sort of water heating system. They get that. But what they can’t wrap their minds around is the concept of “the best.”

This is a seriously tricky issue because, let’s face it, what is best for you may not necessarily be the best for somebody else. In fact, it might be a downright horrible idea because we all have different needs. We have different expectations, assumptions and backgrounds. All these differences add up to quite a bit of surprises if you randomly copy and paste what is the best or optimal for one person and apply it to other people.

This is made even worse if you take that situation and you multiply it many times over because you apply what is the best in one remote, isolated situation and try to make sense of it in a larger case. In other words, you apply it to a lot of people. Do you see how it works?

So do yourself a big favor and understand that the best water heater really depends on the specific facilities and the specific needs your organization has. This is the best way forward. Otherwise, don’t be surprised if people are uncomfortable in that indoor space. They may be well heated, as far as your body is concerned, but the moment they go to the bathroom, all bets are off. That’s precisely the kind of situation you don’t want to find your organization in.
